Having good and nice dog is a dream for all dog lovers. One of the good breed that you can choose is Pointer type. Especially German pointer for this article. They are famous hunting dog, and joyful when they are with children. Of course you will do anything for pointer dogs, before understanding for pointer dog, here i give the fact and physical characteristic from it, to choose good and well breed for pointer dogs:

– Pointer dogs are elegant, well-balanced, symmetrical

– They are medium sized, body is square or slightly longer than tall; well-muscled, lean, athletic build, pound for pound very strong

– Head for pointer dogs does not have a dramatic “stop” like the Pointer. The muzzle is in proportion to length of skull; has sufficient depth and width to grasp and carry game long distances

– Eyes are dark brown, almond shaped with close fitting not loose eyelids

– Tail docked, mature length approximately 6 to 8 inches (some may vary)

– Heights: Males: 23-25 inches; Females: 21-23 inches (some may vary)

– Weights: Males: 55 – 65 pounds; Females: 45 – 55 lbs (some may vary)

– Color of purebred For pointer dogs are liver and white or black and white but not a combination of liver, black and white.

– Some liver dogs may appear quite dark but if their nose is liver in color the dog is liver. Black dogs will have a black nose.

– Coat patterns may vary from solid with small amounts of white to those with ticking and patching or a roan

– Pointer dogs do not come in rare colors or coat patterns.

For pointer dogs, you need to give best nutrition for them so they can grow with better manner and ability. Giving dog food, training, kennel or crate, playing game, obedient training, etc are essential for pointer dogs right after you buy or have it.
